Stationary Booths: Limited mobility restricts staff, causing slower order-taking & payment delays.
iPads: Poor hardware integration & software limitations reduce seamless connections & POS customization.
Mobile Ordering: Technical issues & order inaccuracies lessen server interaction, weakening the dining experience.

Combine a clear, intuitive system with a durable & strong tablet design capable of withstanding the demands of a fast-paced work environment, including frequent bumps, spills, drops, and more.

Form Factor Configuration.
Early 2D sketches explored tablet form, battery integration, and card reader placement, aiming for a design that feels strong and durable for busy workplaces.


Exploring Interaction.
Building on the initial concepts, the focus was shifted to user interaction scenarios: Cashiers might hold, tilt, or rotate the device during and outside transactions, shaping the direction.
Ergonomic Exploration + Interface Optimization
With a clear design direction, 2D sketching refined the concept, prioritizing ergonomics through grip options and button placement for comfort in both active and passive use.



Phase 2: UX/UI
In the UX/UI stage of the project, focus shifted to designing an intuitive, efficient Point of Sale interface that reduces errors and speeds up transactions for all users.

Information Architecture.
User flows were mapped to streamline common tasks succh as check management, order modifications, seat map overviews, and payments, while ensuring quick access to major screens from any point.
